The Sandwiches

 The Sandwich Proverb.

There are several kinds of people.

One type hears you have two sandwiches, invites themselves over for lunch and asks you for a sandwich.

One type hears you have sandwiches invites you to lunch because they want to enjoy your company while they eat their own sandwiches.

Another sees you have two sandwiches, they have a single sandwich so they ask for your two sandwiches so they'll have three sandwiches.

Another had many sandwiches, when you had no sandwiches, they knew you didn't have any sandwiches and never offered you a sandwich and ate all of them. Then years latter someone gives you two sandwiches and since they no longer have any sandwiches, they want one of your sandwiches and boldly ask for one.

Then there is the type who has a sandwich shop, they never offered you a sandwich, but when you finally have two sandwiches, they assume you also have potato salad and chips and a picnic table, so they suddenly become interested in partnering with you, because all they have is a sandwich shop.

There is also the type of person who has two sandwiches that are the same as your two sandwiches, but they believe you only deserve one sandwich or none at all and so they plot ways to take one or both of yours.

There is another type of person too. They had sandwiches when you had none, but they occasionally shared some of their own sandwiches with you, but now they have no sandwiches so you share some of your two sandwiches with them.

Last there is the type who has always had a sandwich, they never lacked any sandwiches so they don't know what its like to be hungry. They don't share their sandwiches, don't expect you to share your sandwiches.
